If you’ve never been to pelvic floor PT before, it’s completely understandable to have questions about what care looks like. Check out what to expect on your 1st visit at Core Connections!

A Warm Welcome
From the moment you arrive, our front office team will help you feel comfortable and settled into our calm and cozy space, offering a snack or drink so that your visit feels welcoming and relaxed. Then you’ll meet your specialized therapist who will show you to your private treatment room.
Time to Talk
Your first visit starts with a conversation. We’ll take time to hear what’s been going on, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you’re hoping to get get out of your care. This is also an opportunity to share anything that feels important and ask questions.
Comprehensive Physical Exam
Next, your therapist will guide you through a physical exam tailored to your symptoms, concerns, and goals. We work to identify the true root cause instead of just treating symptoms. We’ll explain what we’re doing along the way so you know what to expect and feel comfortable through the process.

A Closer Look at the Pelvic Floor Muscles
An internal pelvic floor exam may be offered if it provides useful information about the strength, coordination, tension, and tenderness of the pelvic floor muscles. It is never required, and only performed based on your comfort & consent.
Putting the Pieces Together
Your therapist will put the pieces together to identify “The Why”, or true root cause of your concerns. We will talk through what we found and relevant anatomy so that you have clarity on what’s causing your symptoms on how to fix them.
A Personalized Plan
Together, we’ll create a plan based on your findings, goals, and priorities. We’ll walk you through our recommendations, answer your questions, and make sure you understand the next steps so you leave feeling clear and confident about where we’re headed!
Hands-on Care
Treatment starts day 1 so that you leave feeling better than you came in, and start the path to healing right away. Your therapist will also advise on things to do at home so that you make as much progress as possible between sessions.
